Saint Denis, 1794. Following the events of Assassin’s Creed® Unity, Arno seeks isolation in this dreary town on the outskirts of Paris. While the wary and fragile Republic rebuilds itself, a tormented and shattered Arno searches for answers, but finds nothing but more questions.

What ancient power lies beneath the city's crypts that so many seem to fear, yet want to harness? Why is Napoleon so interested in the tombs of dead kings? Arno’s investigation will lead him to face off with the merciless Raiders as he explores the ghostly depths of the Basilica. He’ll uncover the darkest secrets of Saint Denis, the resting place of French kings, and perhaps something much more sinister…

Follow Arno as he explores an ancient necropolis with an intricate network of catacombs that hide the best-kept secrets of the French kings.

• Find your way around breathtaking vertical interiors, use new stealth gameplay mechanics to track down your enemies, and ultimately turn the hunters into the hunted.
• Uncover the ancient mysteries of the French kings. Use Arno’s lantern to advance in the dark, fend off the animals creeping around the catacombs, and solve ancestral puzzles. Alternatively, put out the lantern and become one with the shadows.
• Embark on new treasure hunts, murder mysteries, and contracts, or join forces in co-op for a heist or special mission.
• Travel from Saint Denis to Paris, and pick up your progression right where you left off.

Battle the Raiders, an aggressive and secretive faction desecrating the catacombs for mysterious reasons. To meet these powerful new foes, Arno will add the Guillotine gun to his arsenal – a powerful weapon that allows him to unleash both long-range destruction or use the axe blade to deal damage up close. Evade their patrols, spot their camps, and strike at the heart of the enemy when they least expect it.

• Once obtained, the Guillotine gun can be used in the main Assassin’s Creed Unity game, including co-op missions.

Weapons, gear, outfits, and specialized skills carry over from Assassin’s Creed Unity to Assassin’s Creed Unity Dead Kings, and back. Obtain new Prowler gear for Arno to craft the ultimate Master Assassin.
