The Redcoats Are Falling

Watch thousands of miniatures Redcoats domino across several rooms, traverse bridges, climb stairs, and light fire before a grand finale.

In this video watch a painstaking labor of love come to life. After spending four weeks running through the scenario and preparing their idea, a domino series that spanned almost an entire house, lit fires, and went upstairs finally came together for a satisfying grand finale! The Redcoats, cabins, and faux snow were made as recreations of in-game features and environments of Assassin’s Creed III.

Here are some facts about video:

  • 4 weeks were spent preparing for the video
  • 8,100 plastic toy Redcoats were hand-painted with incredible detail
  • Three bridges were built using 406 tongue depressors
  • Three small-scale log cabins were made out of popsicle sticks for the sole purpose of being set afire
  • A staircase of 66 videogame and DVD cases was built
  • It took over two hours to set every soldier into position
  • 129 attempts were made before finally getting all the soldiers to fall down in sequence
