The Redcoats Are Falling

Watch thousands of miniatures Redcoats domino across several rooms, traverse bridges, climb stairs, and light fire before a grand finale.

In this video watch a painstaking labor of love come to life. After spending four weeks running through the scenario and preparing their idea, a domino series that spanned almost an entire house, lit fires, and went upstairs finally came together for a satisfying grand finale! The Redcoats, cabins, and faux snow were made as recreations of in-game features and environments of Assassin’s Creed III.

Here are some facts about video:

  • 4 weeks were spent preparing for the video
  • 8,100 plastic toy Redcoats were hand-painted with incredible detail
  • Three bridges were built using 406 tongue depressors
  • Three small-scale log cabins were made out of popsicle sticks for the sole purpose of being set afire
  • A staircase of 66 videogame and DVD cases was built
  • It took over two hours to set every soldier into position
  • 129 attempts were made before finally getting all the soldiers to fall down in sequence

The final stop for The Bureau is New York Comic Con which takes place from October 6th to 9th 2016. NYCC is the largest pop culture event on the East Coast of America and it plays host to the latest and greatest in movies, comic books, video games, toys, television and much more.
